Printing and Dyeing Industry

To dye cotton fabrics in the printing and dyeing industry, it is necessary to remove the coverings on the surface of cotton fibers, such as grease, wax, pectin, etc., soak and cook with dilute lye at an appropriate temperature to remove impurities. In order to allow the dye to penetrate deep into the inner layer of the fiber during dyeing, it should also be swollen and soft before dyeing. Short-term treatment with concentrated caustic soda solution can align the fiber molecules and increase the silky luster of the fabric. After this treatment, the finely divided fibers (cotton linters) on the surface of the fibers can be corroded by caustic soda, making the dyeing more uniform without plaques of different shades. Cotton printing and dyeing industry needs a large amount of caustic soda. During the dyeing process of vat dyes, caustic soda solution and sodium hydrosulfite should be used to reduce it to leuco acid, and then oxidized to the original insoluble state with oxidant after dyeing.

Textile Fiber

1. Textile cotton and linen fabrics are treated with concentrated Caustic SodaPearls solution to improve fiber properties. Man-made fibers such as artificial cotton, artificial wool, artificial silk, etc., are mostly viscose fibers. They are made of cellulose (such as pulp), sodium hydroxide, and carbon disulfide (CS2) as raw materials to make viscose liquid, which is sprayed, made by condensation.

2. The viscose fiber must first be impregnated with 18-20% caustic soda solution to make it into alkali cellulose, then dry and crush the alkali cellulose, add carbondisulfide, and finally dissolve the sulfonate with dilutelye. A sticky liquid is obtained. After filtering and vacuuming (removing air bubbles), it can be used forspinning.
